Arsenal draw AC Milan in Europa League last 16, fans react

Arsenal were roundly mocked by rival fans on Thursday night when the team suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat to Swedish minnows Ostersunds.

The North London outfit went two goals down inside the first 23 minutes, and even though Sead Kolasinac managed to pull a goal back for Arsene Wenger’s side, it was not enough to inspire a comeback.

Despite losing on the night, the Premier League club still progressed into the last 16 thanks to their 3-0 win in the first leg.

On Friday, UEFA completed the draw for the next round of knockout matches and Arsenal were matched with AC Milan.

The Italian club have a weight of successful history behind them having won seven European Cups over an eight-year spell.

The club are not quite the dominant side they used to be in Serie A as they currently sit seventh in the table.

In fact, the San Siro-based club have picked up one trophy – the Supercoppa Italia – in the past five years.
